We invest heavily in our people because they are the future leaders of our business and industry.\nPosition\nReporting to the Commercial & Operations Director, the Business Development Executive will play a key role in driving Seiki Systems' continued growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities whilst nurturing and expanding existing customer relationships. This role is suited to a highly motivated, commercially driven individual who thrives on building relationships, understanding customer challenges, and demonstrating how software solutions can deliver measurable business improvements.\nYou will engage with manufacturing businesses across the UK and internationally, helping them improve operational performance through Seiki's software solutions. You will work closely with Marketing, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Product teams to ensure customers receive an exceptional experience throughout their journey.\nAs Seiki continues its transition towards a modern SaaS business model and ambitious growth plans, the successful candidate will be expected to embrace innovation, leverage AI and modern sales tools, and contribute ideas that help accelerate business performance.\nJob Responsibilities\nAccount Growth & Customer Success (70%)\nDevelop existing customer accounts to identify opportunities for additional modules, services, and SaaS subscriptions.\n\nWork closely with Customer Success and Professional Services teams to maximise customer value and retention.\n\nSupport strategic account planning activities to drive long-term customer growth.\n\nNew Business Development (30%)\nGenerate and qualify new sales opportunities through prospecting, networking, marketing campaigns, referrals, and market research.\n\nBuild and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities to achieve and exceed revenue targets.\n\nConduct discovery meetings to understand customer objectives, challenges, and business requirements.\n\nPresent Seiki solutions through online demonstrations, webinars, and face-to-face meetings.\n\nDevelop compelling business cases and ROI propositions for prospective customers.\n\nManage the sales process from initial engagement through to contract signature.\n\nConsultative Selling\nEngage customers using a consultative approach focused on understanding business outcomes.\n\nBuild trusted relationships with senior management, operational leaders, and key stakeholders.\n\nLead negotiations and manage complex decision-making processes.\n\nOvercome objections effectively whilst maintaining a customer-first approach.\n\nMarket & Industry Engagement\nMaintain a strong understanding of manufacturing industry challenges, trends, and best practices.\n\nDevelop knowledge of competitor offerings and market positioning.\n\nRepresent Seiki Systems at exhibitions, industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.\n\nProvide valuable market feedback to Product and Leadership teams.\n\nSales Excellence\nMaintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and customer records within CRM.\n\nConsistently achieve agreed sales activity levels and performance KPIs.\n\nProduce accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports.\n\nContinuously improve sales skills, product knowledge, and industry expertise.\n\nUtilise AI-enabled sales tools and modern sales methodologies to improve effectiveness and productivity.\n\nQualifications & Experience\nEssential\nMinimum 7 to 10 years' experience in manufacturing technology sales.\n\nProven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.\n\nStrong consultative selling and solution-selling experience.\n\nExcellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.\n\nExperience managing opportunities through a CRM platform.\n\nStrong commercial awareness and business acumen.\n\nFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel.\n\nDesirable\nExperience selling ERP, MES, Scheduling, Manufacturing Intelligence, Production Planning, Shop Floor Data Collection, Business Intelligence, or similar software solutions.\n\nExperience working with manufacturing organisations, particularly precision engineering, machining, fabrication, or industrial sectors.\n\nDegree or relevant professional qualification.\n\nFamiliarity with SaaS business models and subscription-based revenue
