We offer a competitive compensation with great benefits.\nWe currently have an opportunity for a payroll administrator that is fully competent in Canadian payroll administration and has a background in US payroll administration.\nReporting to the Payroll Supervisor, the successful candidate for the Payroll Administrator position will have outstanding time management skills, the ability to stay organized in a fast paced environment and be customer focused while trying to meet tight deadlines by setting priorities effectively.\nCompensation & Role Details:\nExpected Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is between $65,000 - $70,000 CAD , depending on experience and qualifications\nRole Type: Backfill\nAI Disclosure: AI may be used during the hiring process.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAdminister full cycle semi-monthly payrolls for US and Canada\nPreparing reports on Report Writer\nRespond effectively to requests payroll information by government agencies and auditors\nWork effectively with various departments to provide solutions and follow-up using well developed problem solving skills\nAccurately maintain payroll data including, but not limited, to information related to employee new hires, terminations, commissions, expenses, benefits, 401K’s and RRSP’s\nEnsure compliance with government legislation (US and Canada)\nPrepare and issue payroll remittances including quarterly American State returns, 401k, RRSP, Employee Share Ownership Plan\nProcess of Records of Employment; Workers’ Compensation returns, W2’s, T4’s and other payroll document under the supervision of the Payroll Supervisor\nComplete posting and reconciliation of payroll general ledger accounts\nActively participate ongoing reporting including month-end and year-end activities\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS:\n3-5 years of active Canadian and US payroll processing experience within a fast paced environment of over 1500 employees\nPreferable experience with ADP Pay at work Platform\nAccounting and/or Payroll Diploma or commensurate experience preferred\nA PCP and/or FPC certification is a definite asset\nKnowledge of government compliance regulations in the US and Canada\nA background in US Payroll administration that includes ACA knowledge, payroll administration; solid experience with 401K; overall experience in a company with over 50 employees is preferred\nExperience with acquisitions is an asset\nAbility to set priorities throughout the day, while also remaining customer focused\nHighly organized with an eye for detail and sound filing skills; strong time management skills\nExcellent written communication skills and listening skills\nDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality at all times\nWillingness to learn and the ability to learn on the fly\nExperience with various technology platforms and software; payroll systems, MS Office with an advanced ability working with Excel; HRIS software experience\nBusiness Unit: \nScheduled Weekly Hours:\n37.5Number of Openings Available: \n1Worker Type: \nRegularMore About Jonas Software:\nJonas Software is a leading provider of enterprise management software solutions, serving a wide range of vertical markets including hospitality, healthcare, construction, education, personal care, fitness, leisure, moving and legal services, to name a few.
