The Operator is responsible for the daily operation of equipment in and around water. This includes mechanical removal of aquatic vegetation and debris using specialized aquatic equipment, operating heavy equipment such as mini excavators and skid steers, and hauling material in dump trucks. This position requires strong physical ability, a willingness to work outdoors in various conditions, and a commitment to safety and environmental compliance.\nOperator Key Responsibilities:\nOperates equipment to mechanically harvest and remove vegetation, debris, and sediment as directed.\nMay assist in basic aquatic chemical applications under supervision of licensed applicator, following all safety and compliance guidelines.\nPerforms basic maintenance and inspection on all operating equipment and associated tools before and after each job.\nFollows environmental guidelines to minimize disruption to aquatic habitats.\nUses proper techniques for loading, transporting, and securing equipment.\nCompletes daily job logs, including work performed, site conditions, and equipment usage.\nCommunicates any hazards, maintenance needs, or delays to supervisors immediately.\nAssists with mobilization and demobilization of job sites, including equipment loading/unloading.\nMaintains clean, organized tools and work area.\nMaintains a professional demeanor with clients, co-workers, and the public.\nCommunicates effectively with team members and supervisors.\nParticipates in training sessions and safety meetings as required.\nDemonstrates knowledge and safe operation of hydraulic equipment, including Weedoo boats, excavators (aquatic & land), skids steers, winches, and other small work vessels\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nValid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.\nExperience operating small boats, heavy machinery, or agricultural equipment preferred.\nMechanical aptitude for troubleshooting basic equipment issues.\nWillingness to travel to various job sites; overtime may be required.\nPhysical Requirements:\nLifting: Must be able to lift and carry up to 150 lbs with or without assistance.\nStanding/Walking: Frequent standing, bending, and walking on uneven terrain.\nMust be able to swim confidently and safely in open water environments.\nClimbing: Must be able to climb onto and off boats and equipment safely.\nAbility to work outdoors in variable weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and wet environments.\nCompany Benefits Include:\nMultiple Medical Plans to choose from including the ability to participate in an HSA.\nDental, Vision, and Company Paid Life Insurance.\n12 Paid Holidays per year.\nGenerous PTO.\n401(k) with Generous Company Match.\nIf you have the skills required for this role, we encourage you to apply!
