What this job involves:
As an Accounting Manager for a growing non-traded REIT portfolio, you'll serve as the primary financial steward and client liaison for a dynamic collection of single-tenant properties. This role puts you at the intersection of sophisticated fund accounting and strategic client relationship management. You'll own the monthly close process, lead a small but dedicated accounting team, and ensure financial reporting excellence for our institutional client. This position offers the unique opportunity to shape best practices across multiple portfolios while gaining deep expertise in real estate fund accounting. If you're ready to move beyond transactional accounting and take ownership of complete portfolio financial operations, this role provides the platform to make a significant impact on both client satisfaction and JLL's continued growth in the real estate investment management space.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Lead and oversee the complete monthly close process, including preparation of consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules, and timely delivery of reporting packages to the client
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the client for monthly financial review calls, presenting results, addressing questions, and building trusted advisor relationships
- Supervise and develop a team of 2-4 accounting professionals, providing guidance on technical matters, quality review of deliverables, and ongoing training to ensure consistent execution
- Coordinate and perform quality reviews of annual CAM reconciliations and tenant billings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with lease requirements
- Partner with JLL property management teams to coordinate services for properties requiring PM support, ensuring seamless communication between operations and accounting functions
- Manage cash flow activities including preparing monthly distribution proposals, coordinating with banking partners, and ensuring proper fund movement and documentation
- Collaborate with the accounting team supporting the client's other large fund to standardize processes, share best practices, and maintain consistency across the relationship
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (B.S. or B.A.)
- 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or private real estate accounting environments

- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and their application in real estate contexts
- Proven ability to interpret complex lease documents and translate requirements into operational accounting procedures
- Experience managing monthly close cycles and producing consolidated financial reporting packages
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or progress toward certification
- Direct experience with non-traded REIT accounting and reporting requirements
- Familiarity with triple net lease structures and CAM recovery processes
- Experience implementing process improvements and standardizing accounting procedures across multiple properties or portfolios
- Background working in a client service environment with demonstrated success building and maintaining client relationships
