Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.\nAssistant Chief Engineer\nWhat this job involves:\nServe as an engineering leader at JLL!\nThe Assistant Chief Engineer oversees the efficient, safe and responsible operation of all building systems and equipment.\nSchedule: 7am-3pm (flexible) Monday through Friday, on-call expectation.\nWhat your day-to-day will look like:\nUnder the Chief Engineer’s direction, supervise and direct contractors and monitor performance\nAssist the Chief Engineer in the formulation and implementation of the preventive maintenance program\nAssist the Chief Engineer in training and supervision aimed at expanding the capabilities of the engineering team\nMaintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests \nSupport preparation of monthly/quarterly operations and mechanical reports\nRespond effectively to all emergencies\nCommunicate effectively to the client and building occupants/tenants\nComplete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, cleaning, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts (as allowed by licensing requirements), plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, hanging pictures, repair office furniture, locksmith work and general maintenance \nPerform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts\nComply with all safety procedures\nComply with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials\nParticipate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs\nOther projects and tasks to be assigned\nOn-site presence required\nComplete job description available on JLL's internal portal\nRequired qualifications:\n3-5 years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry\nTrade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable\nUniversal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)\nLeadership and/or supervisory experience\nExperience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs\nComfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall\nAbility to frequently climb, bend, kneeling, lift and/or drive\nStrong customer service and communication skills\nThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
