This position is responsible for overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems while supporting daily engineering operations and team performance. The role requires a hands-on technical leader who can independently troubleshoot and repair building systems, mentor team members, and help deliver safe, efficient, and best-in-class facility operations that support client satisfaction and operational excellence.\nWhat your day-to-day will look like:\nPerform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems and equipment.\nUtilize the CMMS work order system to manage and complete maintenance assignments, track repairs, and document facility activities.\nMonitor Building Automation Systems (BAS), respond to alarms, identify system issues, and implement corrective actions.\nSupport Operations and Engineering leadership to ensure work orders and preventive maintenance tasks are completed within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).\nLead by example in maintaining safe work practices, enforcing safety policies, and identifying potential hazards within the facility.\nProvide technical guidance and hands-on training to engineering team members to support skill development and operational consistency.\nConduct facility rounds, assess building conditions, document deficiencies, and coordinate resolution efforts to maintain tenant comfort and operational reliability.\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.\nMinimum of five (5) years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems in a commercial building environment.\nUniversal EPA Certification required.\nStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across multiple building trades, including HVAC systems, motors, pumps, controls, and associated electrical systems.\nExperience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.\nAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and effectively communicate with team members, vendors, tenants, and leadership.\nAbility to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency service calls within 45 minutes.\nCandidate must successfully complete an extensive fingerprint-based background investigation, including criminal history and credit screening, in addition to any standard pre-employment screening requirements.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting Building Automation Systems (BAS) operations and troubleshooting.\nKnowledge of OSHA regulations, safety programs, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and safe work practices in a facilities environment.\nPrior leadership or supervisory experience within building engineering or facilities maintenance teams.\nExperience performing general building maintenance tasks including painting, drywall repair, pressure washing, and tenant service requests.\nFamiliarity with refrigerant logs, engineering documentation, and compliance reporting.\nAbility to train and mentor technicians on maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, and proper tool usage.\nExperience supporting cost savings initiatives and identifying operational efficiencies within facility operations.\nLocation: Nashville, TN\nWork Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday to Friday.\nThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
