You will work closely with the Chief Engineer to oversee facility operations, manage technical teams, and implement strategies to optimize performance, reliability, and efficiency of data center infrastructure.\nYour day-to-day tasks will include -\nAssisting in the management and coordination of data center facility operations and maintenance activities \nSupervising and mentoring technical staff, including engineers, technicians, and contractors \nMonitoring and analyzing critical systems performance, including power, cooling, and network infrastructure \nDeveloping and implementing preventive maintenance schedules and procedures \nCollaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements \nParticipating in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrade projects \nResponding to and managing critical incidents and emergency situations \nPreparing technical reports, documentation, and presentations for management and clients \nBe the first point of contact for service impacting events involving the electrical distribution system. \nAssist the team in troubleshooting and mitigating incidents. \nAssist in the creation of root cause analysis (RCAs). \nBe available for after-hours support regarding the electrical distribution systems. \nThis includes 24x7 responses. \nDesired experience and technical skills -\nRequirements:\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations and management \nStrong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, and network architecture \nFamiliarity with industry standards and best practices (e.g., ASHRAE, TIA, Uptime Institute) \nExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skills \nStrong leadership and team management abilities \nProficiency in using facility management software and building automation systems \nValid certification in at least one relevant area (e.g., CDCP, DCPRO, or equivalent) \nValid driver's license \nPreferred:\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license \nExperience with energy efficiency initiatives and sustainable data center practices \nKnowledge of project management methodologies \nMulti-site data center management experience \nThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
