We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Assistant Facilities Manager - Technical to support the delivery of engineering and facilities operations within a corporate workplace environment in Chennai.\nIn this role, you will support the management of critical building infrastructure and technical services, ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. You will work closely with the Facilities Manager and service partners to oversee preventive maintenance programs, vendor performance, compliance requirements, and day-to-day engineering operations across the site.\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in building systems and facilities engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.\nWhat this Job Involves\nSupport the management of technical facilities operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, DG, UPS, STP/WTP, BMS, and fire & life safety systems.\nEnsure planned preventive maintenance activities are executed as per schedule.\nMonitor asset performance and support breakdown resolution to minimize downtime.\nCoordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure service delivery standards are achieved.\nConduct routine technical inspections and audits of building systems.\nSupport statutory compliance, EHS requirements, and safety initiatives.\nAssist in energy management and sustainability programs.\nPrepare operational reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.\nKey Skills & Experience\n4-8 years of experience in Facilities Management, Building Operations, or Technical Services.\nBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.\nGood understanding of MEP systems, HVAC, electrical distribution, and fire safety systems.\nExperience in preventive maintenance planning and vendor management.\nKnowledge of statutory compliance, EHS practices, and risk management.\nAbility to troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate corrective actions.\nStrong communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.\nProficiency in MS Office and facilities management systems.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in corporate real estate, commercial buildings, or large integrated facilities.\nKnowledge of BMS, Energy Management Systems, and sustainability practices.\nLocation:\nOn-site -Chennai, TNScheduled Weekly Hours:\n48If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the requirements.
