Building Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance tasks, including painting, minor repairs, and upkeep of facility infrastructure.
• Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance on company machinery, equipment, and appliances.
• Identify and report requirements for major repair works and infrastructure improvements.
• Build strong working relationships with site leadership, business stakeholders, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams, and Facilities Management partners.
• Maintain and repair basic plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of external areas, including parking lots, walkways, and common outdoor spaces.
• Oversee site services such as sprinkler systems, waste management, and recycling programs.
• Monitor, inspect, and maintain office appliances, including refrigerators, microwaves, coffee machines, ovens, and kitchen equipment.
• Manage facilities inventory, including consumables and spare parts such as bulbs, filters, batteries, power supplies, and maintenance materials.
• Respond to facilities service requests and trouble tickets within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Coordinate and manage local vendors and contractors providing maintenance services, reactive repairs, and project support.
• Track and monitor utility consumption (electricity, water, gas) and recommend sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
• Manage office moves, seating assignments, occupancy tracking, and furniture procurement.
• Lead and support small-scale facilities projects, including office refurbishments, renovations, workspace improvements, and expansions.
• Maintain health, safety, and compliance programs, including fire drills, safety inspections, emergency preparedness, and safety committee records.
• Provide support to regional Facilities Management teams and other company locations when required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in related field.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Familiarity with workplace health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience working with ticketing systems, work order management, or facilities helpdesk platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and facilities management systems.
