Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.\nWhat this job involves:\nServe as an engineering leader at JLL!\nThe Chief Engineer oversees the efficient, safe and responsible operation of all building systems and equipment while also leading the engineering team.\nSchedule: 6am-2:30 pm (flexible) Monday through Friday on site, on-call rotation.\nWhat your day-to-day will look like:\nOversee the maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems \nSupervise and manage engineers and maintenance staff including hiring, training, coaching and personal development \nCreate and routinely update a documented plan that includes preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance procedures \nParticipate regularly in client-facing and property team communications \nLead, create and manage engineering budget and participate in overall operating budget process \nAssist in the development of a capital improvement plan \nSelect, schedule, supervise and direct contractors; monitor and document performance \nRespond effectively to emergencies and service calls \nLead and organize ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs and procedures \nOther duties as requested by property management team and/or client \nOn-site presence required\nComplete job description available on JLL's internal portal\nRequired qualifications:\n5+ years of related experience, especially as a Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer or similar \nPeople management experience (leading a team) \nTrade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable \nUniversal CFC EPA certification \nExperience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) \nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs \nComfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall \nAbility to frequently climb, bend, kneeling, lift and/or drive \nStrong customer service and communication skills \nThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
