The primary focus of this position is to provide shift coverage and on-call plant operational support for all facilities systems, including, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire life safety, control, and central utility plant operations. This person will have the responsibility of completing preventive maintenance in a timely manner, providing written reports/logs and maintain reliable and efficient operation of the facilities equipment that support the Critical Facilities and spaces in the Region.\nThis position includes a sizeable shift differential and a 4/10 work schedule.\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities\nTask will include but not be limited to:\nPerform predictive maintenance, preventative maintenance, maintenance routines, equipment rounds, and service requests as directed and in accordance with company Preventative Maintenance Program.\nMust interface with Critical Operations Team and Management to coordinate Critical Area Program. This will include but not be limited to; scheduling maintenance windows in Change Management, participating in staff meetings, interfacing with key vendors and project management personnel, and keeping up with written communications within the Critical Environment Team.\nSupport vendors on preventive and repair activities that cannot be performed in house. This includes on-site support, proposal request development, and vendor proposal review.\nPerform maintenance and repairs to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, control, and fire, life and safety systems.\nPerform emergency or preventative maintenance repairs off hours as directed on nights and weekends as needed.\nUnderstand and work within the accounts Computerized Maintenance Management System.\nComply with all company policies and procedures and performs other duties as assigned.\nWhere necessary, record readings and adjust ensure proper operation of equipment.\nAssist site with emergency situations (e.g., fire alarms, environmental spill, chemical spills, hazardous conditions) and take appropriate actions and escalate to upper management in a timely manner.\nEnsure compliance with JLL, OSHA, NFPA and other AHJ standards and requirements.\nParticipate in incident investigations.\nMaintain a clean and safe workplace.\nMonitor pricing and work quality of outside contractors.\nRespond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.\nQualifications\n·High school graduate or equivalent\n·Trade school degree or certificate in mechanical, electrical, or controls disciplines preferred\n·One year minimum of plant building operating experience, data center experience preferred\n·Good writing & communication skills\n·Ability to read HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and architectural drawings\n·Ability to use hand tools, power tools and perform electric, plumbing and carpentry tasks\n·Ability to use Windows based computers\n·Possess Universal CFC License\nPHYSICAL WORK ABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS\nThis position requires frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, including:\nWalking large, campus-like settings.\nLifting a minimum of 80 lbs.\nClimbing stairs and navigating rooftops to access equipment.\nUsing ladders up to 30 ft and working from heights.\nClimbing a ladder with a 300-lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.\nThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
