What this job involves:
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems
- Monitor and operate building management systems (BMS), including HVAC, fire alarm, and security systems
- Respond promptly to tenant or facility-related work orders and emergency calls during assigned shifts
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities, incidents, and system performance
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety protocols, and environmental standards
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other engineering staff as needed
- Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives within the property
Required Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in building services or facilities management, preferably in commercial or Grade A office buildings
- Familiarity with Hong Kong’s building regulations and codes of practice (e.g., EMSD, FSD requirements)
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and operating BMS/EMS platforms
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
- Good command of English and Chinese (Cantonese); Mandarin is a plus
