The role includes ensuring statutory compliance, managing contractor safety, conducting workplace inspections, supporting emergency preparedness initiatives, and promoting a safe and healthy work environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nEHS Compliance & Governance\nEnsure compliance with applicable EHS regulations, local laws, and client requirements.\nMaintain all EHS-related records, permits, licenses, and statutory documentation.\nConduct regular safety inspections and audits of office premises, common areas, and engineering facilities.\nTrack and close safety observations and audit findings within agreed timelines.\nFire & Life Safety Management\nMonitor fire alarm systems, firefighting equipment, and emergency response infrastructure.\nConduct periodic fire drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency preparedness programs.\nCoordinate with local authorities and emergency response teams when required.\nEnsure emergency exits, assembly points, and signage are maintained as per standards.\nContractor & Vendor Safety\nEnsure safe execution of maintenance and project activities by contractors and vendors.\nConduct contractor safety inductions and toolbox talks.\nMonitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes for electrical work, work at height, hot work, confined space activities, etc.\nEnsure compliance with safety regulations during fit-outs, repairs, and maintenance activities.\nRisk Assessment & Incident Management\nConduct hazard identification and risk assessments for facility operations.\nInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss events and prepare corrective action reports.\nRecommend preventive measures to minimize workplace risks.\nHealth, Safety & Employee Awareness\nConduct EHS induction programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.\nOrganize safety campaigns, awareness sessions, and training programs.\nPromote a culture of safety and employee well-being across the workplace.\nEnvironmental & Sustainability Initiatives\nSupport waste management, water conservation, and energy efficiency initiatives.\nMonitor environmental compliance and sustainability programs within the facility.\nAssist in ESG and sustainability reporting requirements, if applicable.\nQualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.\nDiploma/PG Diploma in Industrial Safety, Fire & Safety, or Environment Management preferred.\nNEBOSH, IOSH, Fire Safety Certification, or ISO 45001 Internal Auditor certification will be an added advantage.\nExperience Required\n3-6 years of EHS experience in Corporate Offices, IT Parks, Commercial Buildings, Facility Management, or Real Estate environments.\nExperience in managing contractor safety, permit-to-work systems, and fire & life safety operations.\nExposure to Facility Management organizations such as JLL, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, ISS, Sodexo, Compass, or similar organizations preferred.\nKey Skills\nEHS Compliance & Audits\nFire & Life Safety Management\nRisk Assessment & Hazard Identification\nContractor Safety Management\nIncident Investigation\nPermit-to-Work System\nEmergency Response & Evacuation Planning\nStakeholder Management\nMS Office & EHS Reporting\nLocation:\nOn-site -Gandhinagar - GJScheduled Weekly Hours:\n48If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the requirements.
