This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, responding to tenant service requests, supporting building operations, and ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with JLL standards. The Building Engineer plays a key role in maintaining a high-quality environment for clients and occupants while partnering closely with facility management, vendors, and operations teams to support efficient day-to-day building performance.\nWhat your day-to-day will look like:\nPerform preventative maintenance, routine inspections, and scheduled repairs on building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.\nComplete inspection checklists and communicate maintenance concerns, repair needs, and follow-up items to the Facility Manager.\nRespond to tenant service requests and provide professional, customer-focused support to tenants, vendors, and team members.\nMaintain the appearance and operational standards of the property in alignment with JLL expectations.\nAssist with general interior maintenance including lighting replacement, office furniture repairs, hanging fixtures, door repairs, and workspace moves.\nPartner with contracted vendors to monitor service quality and support the review of service specifications and scopes of work.\nMaintain safe work practices by following safety procedures, identifying hazards, completing hazard assessments, and maintaining clean work areas.\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\n2+ years of experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or building engineering.\nWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.\nAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, construction drawings, diagrams, and work orders.\nExperience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.\nStrong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently and respond effectively to maintenance and operational priorities.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nTechnical certification or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related field.\nExperience supporting commercial office or mixed-use properties.\nFamiliarity with preventative maintenance programs and work order management systems.\nBasic understanding of contracted vendor management and service coordination.\nKnowledge of workplace safety standards and OSHA-related practices.\nExperience assisting with operating or capital budget-related maintenance activities.\nAbility to support minor carpentry, furniture systems, and interior repair tasks.\nLocation: Madison, PA\nWork Shift: Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.\nSalary: $28 - $32 per hour\nThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
