Executive (Environmental)Function: Facilities / Environmental Management Location: Penang, Malaysia | Environment: Facilities, semi-construction, low value waste, Solid Waste\n Job Scope:\n1. Lead and oversee the end-to-end management of e-waste generated from facility and client operations, ensuring safe handling, segregation, storage, traceability, recycling and final disposal in accordance with JLL standards, client requirements and applicable Malaysian environmental regulations. Drive compliance, sustainability, waste reduction and continuous improvement while maintaining a safe and audit ready workplace. Engage with client logistic team for document readiness including ISM (integrated Ship Memo), incoming documents and relevant waste picture for custom declaration. Tracing BAC ticket for work closure within the timeline and arranged with logistic contractor for shipment data and disposal.\nKey ResponsibilitiesAreaKey ResponsibilitiesE-Waste Operations Lead collection, identification, segregation, labelling, storage and movement of e-waste.\nCompliance Ensure e-waste activities comply with applicable environmental legislation, JLL procedures and client EHS requirements.\nWaste Tracking Maintain accurate inventory, movement records, collection documentation and recycling/disposal certificates.\nVendor Management Coordinate approved recyclers/vendors; verify required licences, documentation and service performance.\nStorage & Safety Maintain a secure, organised and compliant e-waste storage area, identify and control environmental and safety risks.\nAudit & Inspection Conduct routine inspections and support client, internal and regulatory audits; close findings within agreed timelines.\nReporting Prepare monthly KPI, waste-generation, recycling and compliance reports with trend analysis.\nTraining & Awareness Conduct e-waste segregation, handling and environmental awareness for employees, technicians and contractors.\nContinuous Improvement Identify opportunities to increase recycling/recovery rates, reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.\nIncident Response Report and support investigation of spills, damaged batteries, improper disposal and other e-waste incidents.\nCore CompetenciesE-Waste & Environmental Management\nRegulatory Compliance & EHS\nWaste Inventory & Data Management\nVendor & Contractor Management\nAudit & Inspection\nRisk Assessment & Incident Management\nMicrosoft Excel / PowerPoint & Reporting\nLeadership & Team Coordination\nProblem Solving & Continuous Improvement\nStrong Communication & Stakeholder Management\n\nQualification & ExperienceDiploma / Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Environmental Science, Engineering, EHS or related discipline.\n3-5 years of relevant experience in e-waste, scheduled waste, environmental management, facilities or EHS with Scheduled Waste Management Competency with DOE Malaysia. \nExperience in semiconductor, Data Center, manufacturing or critical facilities will be an added advantage.\nKnowledge of Malaysian environmental legislation and waste-management requirements.\nExperience managing contractors, recyclers and environmental documentation.\nStrong analytical, communication and reporting skills.\nAbility to work independently and coordinate effectively with JLL teams, client, Engineering, IT, Procurement and contractors.\n\nLocation:\nOn-site -Bayan Lepas, MalaysiaAt JLL, we harness the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to efficiently accelerate meaningful connections between candidates and opportunities.
