The apprentice will assist in the general maintenance and painting in the building and completion of all maintenance requests.\n\nPerforms general repairs and maintenance work.\nProvides assistance to senior engineers.\nResponds to Meeting Room, Food & Beverage Outlet, Public Space, and Back of the house maintenance requests.\nReviews and completes daily complaint log.\nPerforms work as dispatched by CMMS system.\nExpedites light bulb replacement program.\nMaintains and stocks supplies and tools in storerooms on floors.\nAssists Associates with any requests.\nCommunicates status of maintenance requests to supervisor/manager.\nCleans engineering shop.\nFollows up all maintenance requests as directed by Chief Engineer or supervisor\nCommunicates daily with Chief Engineer or supervisor on status of maintenance/repair assignments.\nEnsures that the building systems are operating safely, economically and efficiently.\nFollows proper standards while engaging in repairs in occupied guest rooms or guest areas.\nAssists the Chief Engineer in ensuring that all building systems meet the standards established by local, state and federal regulating agencies.\nInforms Chief Engineer of any repair problems that may arise during their shift.\nHas basic knowledge of office plumbing, heating/boiler, electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning, fire safety, sprinkler, lighting and communication systems.\nAssists Chief Engineer in floor/room inspections.\nHelps monitor energy consumption and waste.\nMaintains equipment and supplies.\nUse tools safely and correctly.\nCheck clipboard and daily assignment sheet for job assignments.\nCompletely familiar with Emergency procedures and able to respond quickly and accurately during an actual emergency, to notify all appropriate personnel.\nNotifies immediate supervisors promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significance.\nIs polite, friendly, and helpful to the Associates, management, and fellow employees.\nMaintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment, and work area.\nExecutes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards.\nComplies with safety regulations and procedures.\nComplies with hotel policies and rules.\nRecycles whenever possible.\nCompletes any other duties as assigned\nThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
