This role serves as the authority for project scheduling, resource planning, and progress monitoring, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all performance objectives. The Planning Manager will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, construction managers, project mangers, contractors, and clients to deliver exceptional project outcomes.\nThis position requires both technical scheduling expertise and leadership capabilities\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Planning & Scheduling\nLead comprehensive project planning from FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) through construction completion for industrial facility projects including manufacturing plants, processing facilities, and distribution centers till project closeout.\nDevelop master project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), EVM and critical path analyses using industry-standard scheduling methodologies\nPrepare baseline schedules and manage schedule updates, ensuring accurate progress tracking and forecasting throughout project lifecycle\nConduct what-if scenario planning and schedule risk analysis to identify potential delays and develop mitigation strategies\nProject Controls & Progress Monitoring\nEstablish and maintain project control systems including Earned Value Management (EVM) for cost and schedule performance measurement\nGenerate progress reports, S-curves, and KPI dashboards for senior management and client stakeholders\nMonitor critical milestones, resource loading, and construction productivity metrics to ensure target achievement\nCoordinate project lookhead schedules (2/3-week, 6-week) with construction teams to optimize resource allocation and workflow sequencing\nStakeholder Management\nServe as primary planning liaison with clients, providing regular schedule updates and addressing project timeline concerns\nManage relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure schedule alignment and coordination\nFacilitate schedule coordination meetings with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams\nReview and analyze contractor schedule submissions, recovery plans, and extension of time (EOT) claims\nRisk Management & Quality Assurance\nIdentify schedule risks, constraints, and dependencies across all project phases and work packages\nDevelop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential delays and disruptions\nEnsure planning deliverables comply with client requirements, contract specifications, and industry best practices\nPrepare comprehensive schedule narratives, delay analysis reports, and lessons learned documentation\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline from a reputed institution\n10-12 years of progressive experience in project planning and scheduling within industrial construction or heavy engineering sectors\nDemonstrated track record of successfully managing planning for industrial projects including Pre-Construction, Construction & Closeout Phases for all trades including Civil, MEP, Finishes & Fitouts.\nTechnical Proficiency\nProficiency with Microsoft Project for schedule development and analysis\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation\nFamiliarity with EVM systems and progress measurement methodologies\nTechnical Competencies\nScheduling & Planning\nCritical Path Method (CPM) scheduling principles and techniques\nResource leveling, resource-loaded schedules, and capacity planning\nMulti-project portfolio scheduling and program-level planning\nSchedule baseline management and change control processes\nConstruction sequencing, phasing, and logistics planning\nProject Controls\nEarned Value Management System (EVMS) implementation and reporting\nCost-schedule integration and variance analysis\nTrend analysis, forecasting, and performance measurement\nProgress measurement techniques including physical progress assessment and earned value calculations\nBudget tracking, cost curve development, and cash flow forecasting\nRisk & Claims Management\nSchedule risk assessment\nCritical path analysis and float management\nDelay and disruption analysis for claims evaluation\nExtension of time (EOT) and compensation event assessment\nContract schedule requirements interpretation and compliance verification\nLocation:\nOn-site -Bengaluru, KAScheduled Weekly Hours:\n48If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the requirements.
