This role serves as the technical authority for MEP systems integration, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Assistant Project Manager MEP will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, structural engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver exceptional building performance.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Management & Execution\nLead MEP design coordination from concept through construction completion for commercial building projects ranging from office buildings to mixed-use developments\nDevelop comprehensive project schedules, critical path analyses, and milestone tracking for MEP work packages\nManage project budgets including cost estimation, value engineering proposals, and expenditure tracking to maintain financial targets\nConduct regular site inspections to verify installation quality, compliance with design specifications, and adherence to safety protocols\n Commercial & Budget Management\nOversee project budgets, cost control, and financial performance for projects \nReview and approve contractor claims, variations, and running account (RA) bills.\nMonitor cost-to-completion forecasts and implement corrective measures for budget overruns.\nSupport commercial negotiations with contractors, vendors, and consultants.\nTechnical Coordination & Design Oversight\nReview and coordinate MEP design documents, ensuring integration between mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems\nFacilitate BIM coordination sessions to identify and resolve conflicts between MEP systems and architectural/structural elements\nEvaluate mechanical system selections including HVAC equipment, controls, and distribution systems for optimal performance and efficiency\nOversee electrical load calculations, power distribution design, lighting systems, and emergency power provisions\nReview plumbing layouts, domestic water systems, sanitary and storm drainage, and fire protection system designs\nStakeholder Management\nServe as primary MEP technical liaison with clients, addressing concerns and providing regular project updates\nManage relationships with MEP contractors, subcontractors, and vendors throughout design and construction phases\nCoordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to ensure seamless design integration\nFacilitate submittal review processes, RFI responses, and change order evaluations\nQuality Assurance & Compliance\nEnsure all MEP systems comply with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and jurisdictional requirements\nImplement quality control procedures including testing, commissioning oversight, and performance verification\nManage risk identification and mitigation strategies for MEP-related project challenges\nPrepare comprehensive documentation including progress reports, technical memoranda, and lessons learned summaries\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline from a reputed institution.\n6 to 7 years of progressive experience in MEP project management within Industrial construction\nDemonstrated track record of successfully delivering MEP systems for projects valued at $10M+\nTechnical Proficiency\nAdvanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and BIM 360 for design review and coordination\nProficiency with Navisworks or similar clash detection software\nExperience with MS Project or equivalent scheduling tools\nFamiliarity with electrical load calculation software and hydraulic analysis tools\nPreferred Qualifications\nASHRAE, NFPA, or IEEE membership demonstrating commitment to professional development\nSpecialized experience in specific building types: Class A office buildings, hospitality, healthcare facilities, or retail developments\nExperience with commissioning processes and LEED certification projects\nPrevious mentorship or supervision of junior engineering staff\nTechnical Competencies\nMechanical Systems\nHVAC system design principles including chilled water plants, boilers, air handling units, and variable refrigerant flow systems\nVentilation requirements, indoor air quality standards, and energy recovery systems\nBuilding automation and controls integration\nElectrical Systems\nPower distribution from utility service through branch circuits\nEmergency power systems, generators, and UPS configurations\nLighting design, photometric analysis, and advanced lighting controls\nFire alarm, security, and low-voltage systems coordination\nPlumbing & Fire Protection\nDomestic water, sanitary, and storm drainage system design\nSprinkler system hydraulics and fire pump requirements\nPlumbing fixture sizing and water conservation strategies\nLocation:\nOn-site -Bengaluru, KAScheduled Weekly Hours:\n48If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the requirements.
