This role requires a multi-disciplinary professional capable of maintaining and repairing various building systems across commercial properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal building performance, tenant satisfaction, and compliance with Irish building regulations.\nKey Responsibilities\nMaintenance & Repairs\nPerform preventive and reactive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems\nConduct regular building inspections and identify potential issues\nExecute minor building repairs including carpentry, painting, and general handyman tasks\nMaintain building fabric, including windows, doors, flooring, and fixtures\nRespond promptly to tenant requests and emergency call-outs\nTechnical Systems Management\nMonitor and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS)\nService fire safety systems, emergency lighting, and security systems\nPerform basic electrical work including lighting repairs and socket installations\nMaintain plumbing systems, including taps, toilets, and drainage\nAssist with lift maintenance coordination and minor repairs\nCompliance & Safety\nEnsure all work complies with Irish building regulations and safety standards\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and logbooks\nSupport statutory testing and certification processes\nImplement health and safety protocols in accordance with Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005\nParticipate in emergency response procedures\nEssential Requirements\nQualifications & Certifications\nTrade qualification in electrical, plumbing, or mechanical discipline\nSafe Pass certification (mandatory)\nManual Handling certification\nWorking at Height certification preferred\nValid Irish driving license\nTechnical Skills\nMinimum 3-5 years experience in building maintenance or facilities management\nStrong electrical knowledge (safe isolation, basic wiring, lighting systems)\nPlumbing competency (pipe repairs, fixture installation, drainage)\nHVAC system understanding (filters, basic diagnostics, temperature control)\nBasic carpentry and general building repair skills\nComputer literacy for maintenance management systems\nPersonal Attributes\nExcellent problem-solving abilities\nStrong communication skills with tenants and contractors\nAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks\nProfessional appearance and customer service orientation\nFlexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends for emergencies\nDesirable Requirements\nAdditional trade certifications\nBMS operation experience\nFire safety system knowledge\nPrevious commercial property experience\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive salary\n22 days annual leave plus public holidays\nPension scheme with employer contribution\nProfessional development opportunities\nWorking Arrangements\nFull-time permanent position\nMonday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM\nOn-call rotation for emergency response\nDublin city center location\nLocation:\nOn-site -Dublin, IRLIf this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the requirements.
