The assigned properties will include four financial institution office buildings located in Winston-Salem, NC. The engineer will perform minor repairs and help in the operation, monitoring, and performance of preventive maintenance on the building systems as necessary.\nJob Description\nDuties and Responsibilities\nPerforms maintenance, and monitoring repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire alarm, Life Safety, and Control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.\nMaintains responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency.\nMaintains the condition of the property equipment which includes cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to maintain the HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels.\nReview monthly client service request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems.\nEvaluates vendors and suppliers regularly about quality and competitive pricing.\nVerifies the accuracy of deliveries for count, pricing, and description.\nRecords readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.\nComplies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintains a clean and safe workplace.\nPerform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.\nMonitors the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.\n\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n2+ years of experience in the building maintenance industry.\nAccredited trade school degree in HVAC, electronic, or other industry-related trade. Union training and certification are also acceptable.\n\nHighly Desirable Attributes\nKnowledge in the safe and proper use of the following tools: ladders, lifts, basic hand tools, volt meter, manual drain auger, plumber’s helper, safety goggles, ear protection, and fire extinguishers.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nMust be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format.\nMust be comfortable with working in less-than-ideal working conditions.\nPossess a Universal CFC certification.\n\nThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
