JLL Capital Markets Equity Advisory Group specialises in providing equity capital solutions for real estate fund manager, global institutional investors and developers. Their services typically include Equity Placement, JV Structuring, Recapitalisations, Private Market M&A, Strategic Capital Solutions, Fund Formation and Capital Raising. They work with a range of clients including institutional investors, private equity firms, REITs, developers, and high-net-worth individuals, managing transactions across various property types, such as office, retail, industrial, multifamily, and hospitality.

The Role

This position will play a key role in executing strategic private market transactions and capital raising assignments, taking ownership of analytical workstreams, and contributing meaningfully to client strategies and investment recommendations.

For candidates at Director level, the role will additionally provide mentorship and training for analyst and associate team members, in addition to driving operational excellence. Directors will be responsible for growing existing client relationships and over time being part of business development initiatives and providing strategic leadership to the team while delivering exceptional results for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Core responsibilities Senior Analyst:

  • Lead or support financial modelling and valuation analysis for equity-related transactions

  • Conduct comprehensive sensitivity analysis and scenario testing to support investment decision-making

  • Prepare detailed cash flow projections, return metrics, and investment analysis

  • Manage or assist in the due diligence process for transactions

  • Support senior team members in client interactions and complex transaction execution

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates throughout the transaction process

  • Respond promptly and effectively to client inquiries

  • Perform in-depth market research and competitive analysis across property sectors

  • Prepare comprehensive market reports, investment memoranda, and client presentations

  • Create compelling pitch materials and deliver presentations to clients, investors, and stakeholders

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deal execution

Additional responsibilities at Director level:

  • Drive business development efforts and originate new client relationships

  • Provide strategic advisory services to clients on capital structuring and investment strategy

  • Lead complex equity capital transactions from origination through closing

  • Manage and mentor junior team members

  • Maintain relationships with key decision-makers at client organisations

  • Provide thought leadership on real estate capital markets trends

This is what we're looking for:

For Senior Analyst level:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field

  • 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, real estate private equity, or capital markets advisory

  • Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills, with expert proficiency in Excel

  • Strong understanding of real estate fundamentals and capital markets dynamics

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities

For Director level:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in real estate investment banking, private equity, or capital markets advisory

  • Proven track record of successfully closing significant equity transactions

  • Strong business development skills with an established network in the real estate investment community

  • Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and structuring capabilities

  • Deep understanding of real estate fundamentals and capital markets

  • Exceptional client management and relationship-building skills

  • Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to mentor junior professionals
