You will manage legal aspects of company contracts, provide expert guidance on labor-related matters, and support risk management initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities\nContract Management & Advisory\nProvide legal guidance on contract-related matters, including interpretation, terms and conditions, risk assessment, and dispute resolution\nReview, draft, and negotiate contracts including Engagement Letters, fee letters, leasing agreements, Strategic Consulting agreements, and RFPs\nDraft and negotiate legal documents for India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh\nUndertake contracting monitoring activities\nLabour & Employment Law Advisory\nProvide legal guidance on labour-related issues and employment legislation\nSuggest strategies to address changes in laws, regulations, and employment legislation\nConduct legal research on labour laws and provide insights on organizational impacts\nMaintain accurate records and prepare reports on labour matters\nCompliance & Risk Management\nMitigate legal risk by implementing legal strategy and exploring new legal regimes\nAssess compliance incidents and direct non-compliance issues to appropriate functions\nDetect legal risks and contractual liabilities and provide advice on non-compliance issues\nMaintain repository for tracking and reporting legal incidents to management\nStudy legal notifications, circulars, and amendments, and advise on applicability\nReview and advice on AI-related clauses in commercial agreements in accordance with regulatory requirements\nStakeholder Management\nAdvise stakeholders on legal issues and navigate the evolving compliance landscape\nSupport all business lines on legal and contracting matters\nEstablish cordial relationships with directors and stakeholders\nBring efficiency in terms of costs and productivity\nSounds Like You? To Apply You Need:\nEducation & Experience\nBachelors/ Master's in Law degree from a recognized institution\n3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a contracting or advisory role\nTechnical Knowledge\nUnderstanding of contracting systems and identifying potential legal risks\nKnowledge of compliance management, data privacy, anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, cybersecurity, workplace harassment, intellectual property, and corporate governance\nKnowledge of Contract Act, Labour laws (including new labour codes), Insolvency Code, Stamp Act, Registration Act, etc.\nExperience in drafting and vetting contracts\nAwareness of AI governance frameworks, emerging AI regulations, and ethical considerations in AI deployment\nUnderstanding of AI-related contractual provisions including data usage, liability allocation, and intellectual property rights in AI-generated content\nSkills & Competencies\nProficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills\nStrong analytical skills to analyze and opine on statutory provisions\nAbility to conduct legal research and handle business relationships\nAbility to assess legal and compliance risks associated with AI technologies and automation\nAdaptability to emerging legal frameworks governing AI, machine learning, and generative AI applications\nWillingness to travel within India for official work\nWhat We Can Do For You\nAt JLL, you will realize your full potential in an entrepreneurial and inclusive work environment.
