This role involves enhancing EHS compliance and risk management processes, driving understanding and engagement to improve EHS performance, influencing business unit leadership, and integrating EHS into daily operations. The EHS Specialist will support the development and execution of EHS compliance programs at the R&D sites.\nResponsibilities\nSupport the development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs, tools, and standards in line with global EHS policies.\nProvide training and communication to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.\nBuild and maintain relationships with stakeholders and client to determine best-in-class methods for achieving compliance.\nConduct investigations of working conditions to prevent occupational diseases and industrial health hazards.\nPromote EHS awareness throughout the organization through effective employee communications and participation.\nServe as a key point of contact for safety and environmental issues.\nSupport regulated waste management, including consolidation and inspections.\nConduct compliance tasks, including stormwater sampling, waste inspections, chemical inventory, and life safety audits.\nExecute compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and customer requirements.\nSupport and conduct EHS audits, develop action plans to resolve findings, and implement countermeasures effectively.\nPerform risk assessments related to jobs performed for new processes and equipment.\nMaintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for reporting to management teams.\nRecommend appropriate risk mitigation measures, including ergonomics.\nEstablish and manage the safety committee.\nDrive continual improvement efforts to reduce site safety and environmental risk.\nSupport site stand-up meetings, safety committees, and floor inspections.\nEssential Skills\nExperience in EHS, health and safety, environmental health, and manufacturing plant environments.\nKnowledge of EHS regulations and risk assessment.\nBachelor’s degree or higher in industrial hygiene, occupational health, environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field or relevant experience.\n2+ years’ experience in EHS support, especially in warehousing.\nKnowledge of OSHA and WISHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.\nProficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.\nExperience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and personnel issues.\nExcellent communication skills\nAble to lift up to 50 lbs\nLocation: Bothell, WA\nSchedule: 1st Shift/Morning Shift\nThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
