Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.\nPosition: Static / Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer Location: Winnersh, Crawley, Worthing - Beckton Dickinson\nSalary- £46,000.00\nMain Duties and Responsibilities:\nDeliver reactive maintenance and repair services across the 3 x Beckton Dickinson facilities in Winnersh, Crawley, Worthing ensuring minimal downtime and swift resolution of building services issues.\nExecute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules including emergency lighting tests, fire alarm testing, distribution board inspections, RCBO/RCD testing, water temperature monitoring and flushing, air handling unit filter replacement and cleaning and weekly fire alarm and sprinkler testing.\nPerform electrical maintenance works including wiring fault diagnosis and repair, emergency and general lighting maintenance, lamp replacements, socket outlet and accessory installations, Building Management System (BMS) troubleshooting, heating control repairs, and water heater maintenance.\nConduct basic mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and fabric maintenance tasks to support building operations and minimize reliance on external contractors.\nAssess site requirements and procure necessary parts and equipment for maintenance tasks in accordance with procurement procedures.\nAccurately update and close work orders for reactive callouts and PPM tasks on the computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system.\nMaintain comprehensive and accurate site logbooks to ensure regulatory compliance and provide audit trail for all maintenance activities.\nProduce detailed technical reports documenting any remedial works identified during routine inspections or emergency callouts.\nComplete all electrical testing and issue appropriate certification and documentation for works performed, ensuring compliance with current regulations.\nDevelop and complete site-specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments prior to undertaking maintenance tasks.\nUphold engineering standards to maximize operational efficiency, reliability, and availability of building services critical to Vodafone's operations.\nEnsure adherence to JLL quality assurance procedures, Agilent site protocols, and industry best practices in all aspects of work.\nAlways Maintain strict compliance with both Beckton Dickinson and JLL Health & Safety policies and procedures.\nConduct proactive inspections of building services and equipment, identifying potential issues before they impact operations.\nProvide emergency response coverage during and outside normal working hours as required by the service level agreement.\nMaintain all company-issued tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment in safe, serviceable condition.\nCollaborate with colleagues across trades to deliver integrated facilities maintenance solutions.\nParticipate in Continued Professional Development (CPD) including mandatory health and safety training, technical skills enhancement, and regulatory updates to maintain current competencies.\nUndertake additional duties as directed by the Facilities Management team within the scope of the role. To attend a call out rota to co\nEssential Qualifications & Experience:\nRequired Qualifications:\nNVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation\nC&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation, or C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2, or C&G 2330 Levels 2 & 3 / AM2\nC&G 2391 or 2394 & 2395 Inspection and Testing Qualification\n18th Edition BS 7671 Wiring Regulations Certificate (current)\nIPAF 3a & 3b (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) certification\nPASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) certification\nRequired Experience & Skills:\nExtensive knowledge of commercial electrical systems within corporate office environments\nProven electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in facilities management settings\nStrong understanding of HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning plant\nWorking knowledge of building fabric with practical experience performing minor fabric repairs\nComprehensive understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and its application\nBasic plumbing skills for minor repairs and maintenance\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to liaise professionally with Vodafone stakeholders\nProficient in using smartphone applications and mobile technology for work order management\nSelf-motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision\nStrong team collaboration skills with willingness to support colleagues and follow management direction\nProfessional presentation and customer-focused approach appropriate for corporate environment\nProactive mindset with ability to anticipate issues and act on own initiative\nFlexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and operational requirements\nWorking Arrangements:\nThis position requires flexibility in working hours to meet the operational needs of the Beckton Dickinson facility, including evening and weekend work when necessary. The role includes participation in an emergency call-out rota to ensure 24/7 building services support.
