Wherever the future of energy leads, Jones Power will be there.\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nThe Light Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a skid steer and forklift in support of Jones Power's pipe storage, staging, and yard operations in Carlsbad, NM. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the flow and organization of materials on-site, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet our highest safety standards.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nOperate skid steer and forklift safely in yard, storage, and staging environments\nAssist with offloading, racking, and organizing pipe and materials per project specifications\nSupport pipe stringing, loadout, and right-of-way (ROW) operations as directed\nConduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues to supervision\nMaintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area at all times\nFollow all site-specific safety plans, OSHA regulations, and Jones Power safety protocols\nCoordinate with supervisors, operators, and spotters to ensure safe material handling\nAssist with general yard maintenance and reclamation activities as needed\nComplete daily logs, inspection records, and other required documentation accurately\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nMinimum 1 year of verified skid steer and forklift operating experience\nValid forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)\nDemonstrated knowledge of safe load handling, rigging, and spotting procedures\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety\nReliable transportation to the Carlsbad, NM work site\nMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience in pipeline construction, oil and gas, or midstream logistics\nFamiliarity with pipe storage yard operations and racking procedures\nOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification\nExperience operating additional light equipment (telehandler, man lift, etc.)\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly\nProlonged periods of sitting in equipment cabs and standing on uneven terrain\nExposure to outdoor elements including heat, cold, dust, and noise\nAbility to climb, bend, stoop, and kneel as required by field
