Jon Ossoff for Senate is seeking a Deputy Special Projects Director for Community Organizing to support our growing team for the 2026 re-election campaign. This position will report to the Special Projects Director and to the Mobilization Director. This position will co-lead community organizing efforts for the campaign’s paid relational organizing efforts. The ideal candidate is someone with 2-3 cycles of experience in field or organizing who has a passion for direct voter contact and infrastructure building. Innovative tactics for recruitment and community engagement are highly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly identify recruitment opportunities at events and the planning and execution of staffing those events.
- Stand up community organizing and outreach events like block parties and door-to-door canvassing, and plan and execute community outreach to increase the pipeline of new paid relational organizing candidates.
- Draft community organizing language for texting scripts and for other forms of community and grassroots recruitment.
- Oversee junior level staff who will assist with community organizing efforts.
- Work interdepartmentally to identify community organizing opportunities through digital or paid media opportunities
- Be responsible for meeting quantitative goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 2-5 years of professional experience in a field or organizing role on political campaigns
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in common productivity and data tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar)
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
- Self-starter mentality with a willingness to take initiative
- Experience with relational organizing programs is preferred, but not required
