With limited supervision, you will take features and automation workflows from requirements through to production. The work spans EHR systems, payer portals, clearinghouses, and internal services. You will partner with operations teams to turn manual workflows into reliable automation. You will also help Software Engineer I teammates grow through code review and pairing.\nKey Responsibilities\nAutomation Development: Design, build, and maintain automation for RCM processes using Python, Selenium, and OpenCV, with limited supervision.\nFeature Ownership: Take features from requirements through design, implementation, testing, and production release.\nComputer Vision and OCR: Build reliable screen and document recognition with OpenCV and OCR, including handling popups, timing issues, and layout changes.\nProduction Support: Own the health of the automations you build. Find the root cause of failures from logs, screenshots, and database records, and fix them so they don't come back.\nData and SQL: Write and tune SQL for task queues, reporting, and analysis of throughput and exceptions.\nServices and APIs: Build and maintain internal APIs, services, and integrations with payers, clearinghouses, and EHR systems.\nRequirements and Estimation: Work with SMEs and operations to break manual workflows into steps that can be automated, flag edge cases early, and estimate the effort.\nCode Quality: Write tests, review code, and keep automations maintainable.\nCompliance and Security: Maintain secure credential handling, logging, and audit trails in line with HIPAA and HITRUST requirements.\nDocumentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for the workflows you own.\nCloud Services: Build on Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Key Vault) to support scalable automation.\nMentorship: Support Software Engineer I teammates through code review, pairing, and technical guidance.\nRequirements\nMinimum of 3 years of professional software development experience.\nStrong proficiency in Python, including maintainable, tested production code.\nHands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, or another browser automation tool.\nProficiency with SQL and relational databases.\nExperience building or integrating with REST APIs.\nExperience debugging and supporting software in production.\nProficiency with Git, including branching and code review.\nWorking knowledge of healthcare RCM workflows (e.g., eligibility, authorizations, claims, denials), or of a similarly complex business domain.\nClear written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical teammates.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).\nWeb development experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar frameworks.\nProduction experience with OpenCV, OCR, or image processing.\nExperience automating healthcare revenue cycle workflows.\nFamiliarity with healthcare data standards (X12 EDI 270/271, HL7) or EHR systems.\nExperience with Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Functions, Key Vault, App Services) or another cloud platform.\nExperience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.\nPowerShell scripting and Windows environment experience.\nExperience with background jobs, task queues, or concurrent processing.\nAutomated testing experience (e.g., pytest), including mocking external systems.\nExperience applying AI/ML or LLM tools to production problems.\nExperience with logging, alerting, and observability tools (e.g., Grafana).\nMust be legally authorized to work in the USA.
