This role works closely with project teams, consultants, contractors, and global technical stakeholders, play a key role in ensuring quality execution, timely delivery, successful commissioning, and smooth handover to operations.This role will be based in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, reporting to Project Manager\nJob Responsibilities:\n\nSupport the design, construction, commissioning, and handover of paint process and MEP systems.\nEnsure engineering designs, materials, and site execution comply with Jotun standards, project requirements, and applicable regulations.\nCollaborate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and Group Technical teams to achieve project objectives.\nParticipate in design reviews, P&ID reviews, HAZOP workshops, and technical evaluations.\nMonitor construction activities to ensure safe, high-quality, and timely project execution.\nConduct site inspections, verify progress, and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.\nReview and approve materials, equipment, and technical documentation before installation.\nIdentify project risks, deviations, and quality issues, and drive corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.\nCoordinate material inspections, acceptance testing, and supplier activities to support smooth project delivery.\nSupport contractor selection, technical bid evaluations, and value engineering initiatives.\nParticipate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), commissioning activities, and readiness reviews.\nFollow up on mechanical completion, commissioning, start-up, and performance verification of systems.\nSupport operational handover by ensuring all systems, documentation, and testing requirements are completed.\nPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE requirements throughout the project lifecycle.\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER\nQualification:\nPossess at least a Bachelor Degree in relevant engineering fields.\nMinimum 4 years of experience in factory constructionprojects. \nExperience in ATEX installations, especially in chemical/paint/oil & gas projects. \nFamiliar with tools like: Auto CAD and Naviswork (3D).\nFluent in both written and spoken English.\nWhat We Look For:\nPerforms Inspections: Reviewing text, numbers, or physical objects and comparing to each other or to a standard to ensure completeness, accuracy, and identification of flaws or defects.\nCollaborates: Willingly working with others towards common goals, understanding the responsibilities, activities and ways to foster business interrelationships.\nGenerates Solutions: Identifying problems, critically reviewing facts, recognising the root causes, and providing multiple, practical and sound solutions.\nThinks Systemically: Recognising the complex interrelationships among business activities and understanding the \"big picture\" of how decisions impact the overall business, other units, outcomes or processes.\nPrioritises: Allocating attention, effort, and resources based on perceived value, importance, urgency, and other personal, organisational, and political factors.\nTakes Initiative: Taking proactive and constructive action at work with little or no direction from others.\nWhat We Offer:\nContinuous learning opportunities and training activities through on-the-job training and our in-house learning Jotun Academy.\nA supportive and inclusive company culture where you can be your authentic self.\nFlexi Medical Benefits (Outpatient, Health Screening, Dental & Optical) are offered.\nPOSITION INFORMATION\nCompany:\nJotun Paints (Malaysia) Sdn.
