Great people want to collaborate with great people, and we are actively looking for smart, motivated people who care deeply about the work they do.\nSoftware Implementation Specialist:\nJournal Technologies is looking for a high-energy, results-oriented project professional to work on implementation projects for our growing software and services company. A successful candidate will have a background in software rollouts including requirements gathering, environment setup and install, configuration/development, training, go-live, and support.\nThe Software Implementation Specialist (SIS) will work as a member of the implementation team. The SIS is responsible for delivering contracted products and services such as reports, business rules, and general software configuration. The SIS will interact with customers as a primary representative for Journal Technologies as well as coordinate and complete a variety of activities in the configuration process. The Software Implementation Specialist will be a standing expert on Journal Technologies’ Product offerings, our internal implementation processes, and the customer’s business processes.\nResponsibilities\nConfigure case management software, including forms, searches, workflows, and business rules using Groovy and Velocity.\nGather requirements for data conversions, documents, and reports; support development, testing, and review.\nConduct client training and provide onsite go-live assistance.\nTroubleshoot technical and procedural issues and escalate blockers appropriately.\nWork with Java, Windows Server environments, relational databases, and REST/SOAP APIs.\nManage assigned work and status updates in Jira.\nCollaborate within a Scrum team and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.\n1+ years of professional experience querying relational databases, preferably T-SQL or PL/SQL.\nImplementation Specialist experience or comparable software implementation experience preferred.\nWorking knowledge of several of the following: Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, JasperReports or Crystal Reports, SSRS, Java, Groovy, and Velocity.\nFamiliarity with current web technologies, operating systems, Windows Server environments, and REST/SOAP APIs.\nAbility to learn and apply complex software concepts, follow established procedures, troubleshoot problems, and escalate issues appropriately.\nStrong technical curiosity, critical thinking, attention to detail, accountability, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, work effectively through ambiguity, and communicate blockers early.\nStrong client service, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills.\nAbility to manage assigned work in Jira and collaborate effectively within a Scrum team.\nAbility to travel to client sites as required.\nExperience working within Agile teams or formal training in Scrum or Agile methodologies is considered a strong asset.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExcellent customer service skills.\nCourt or justice-industry knowledge.\nThe above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job function.
