In this full-time position, you’ll play a key leadership role in the kitchen, taking ownership of your section while supporting the Executive Chef, Head Chef and wider brigade. You’ll combine hands-on culinary expertise with organisation, creativity and calm leadership to deliver consistently outstanding food. This is an opportunity to mentor developing chefs, contribute to seasonal menu ideas and help shape a positive, high-performing kitchen culture.\nUnfortunately, the business is not able to provide any sponsorships at this time.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nPlan, coordinate and lead food preparation and cooking within your section\nDeliver exceptional quality, flavour and presentation on every plate\nCoach, train and mentor junior kitchen team members, providing constructive feedback that builds confidence and capability\nWork with the Head Chef to develop fresh, innovative menus inspired by the seasons and guest preferences\nManage stock rotation, monitor shortages and waste, and support effective food and labour cost control\nMaintain impeccable food hygiene, safety and cleanliness standards\nCollaborate with the kitchen, Front of House and Sales teams to create seamless guest experiences\nStay flexible and ready to support different sections as service demands\nRequirements\nAbout You\nYou’re a passionate, hands-on chef who leads by example and brings energy to every service. You have excellent knife skills, strong knowledge of ingredients and cooking methods, and a sharp eye for detail. Calm under pressure, you manage your time well, solve problems quickly, and communicate clearly. Most importantly, you care about your team, take pride in exceptional presentation and bring a proactive, safety-focused, ‘can-do’ attitude to the kitchen.\nIf you're a hands-on leader who thrives in a premium kitchen environment, enjoys developing high-performing teams, and is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences, we'd love to hear from you.\nQualifications & Experience\n3+ years’ experience in a commercial kitchen, including 1-2 years in a supervisory role\nCommercial Cookery qualification (or similar)\nKnowledge of stock control, food cost management and food safety requirements\nSpecialist training or expertise in particular cooking techniques will be highly regarded\nThe successful candidate will be avaliable to work across a seven-day roster, including public holidays and shifts between 7.00 am and midnight. They will have the physical capacity to work on their feet for extended periods and safely lift, move and store stock weighing up to 20 kg.
