This role reports to JP Cullen’s CFO and partners with team members across operations, project management, safety, accounting, and executive leadership to support disciplined decision-making consistent with JP Cullen’s values, risk tolerance, and long-term strategic objectives. This position is primarily office-based with periodic travel to meetings and professional development courses as required.\nResponsibilities\nAssist with our subcontractor prequalification and management processes:Develop and maintain repository of subcontractor prequalification information.\nReview subcontractor prequalification information and develop reports on subcontractor financial health.\nWork with project teams and CFO to properly enroll projects in our subcontractor default insurance program.\nPrepare quarterly exposure status reports for management and carriers.\nAssist project teams in timely reporting of any subcontractor default process and reporting.\n\nSupport Project teams in placing or confirming appropriate Builder’s Risk Insurance policies are in place:Prepare monthly reports summarizing Builder’s Risk ownership across all projects.\nMonitor expiring builders risk policies and extend or termination policies based upon project completion timelines.\n\nAssist in development of project teams utilizing Artificial Intelligence tools to review and execute contractual requirements.\nCollaborate with outside legal counsel on contract and insurance requirements.\nAssist project teams with any requested subcontractor red lines to our standard general terms and conditions.\nProvide initial review of prime contracts to flag changes to indemnity, insurance, and damages provisions and organize contract exceptions for additional review.\nWork with project teams to align subcontractor insurance requirements and coverages with contractual scope and prime contract agreements.\nPrepare monthly and quarterly captive insurance reporting.\nWork with our outside insurance partners to review Certificates of Insurance.\nQualifications\nTechnical experience in the following areas:\nBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, construction management, business, risk management, or related field, or equivalent experience.\nExperience in construction, finance, insurance, project management, or risk-related roles preferred.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to present and train other JP Cullen team members.\nPreferred experience with the following applications/tools:\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and related analytical tools.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.\nWhy JP Cullen?\nOur Mission: To identify, hire, train, and retain the best people to serve our customers.\nWe specialize in the “Tough Jobs” no one else can do.\nWisconsin-based $950 million, founded in 1892, 5th generation family-owned construction management firm\nSeeking to be the construction manager of choice for the toughest jobs in the region.\nOur clients have high expectations and our projects are high profile.\nCompensation & Benefits\nJP Cullen has a commitment to its community, employees, and employees’ families.
