The program is structured to develop job-ready talent through foundational certifications, mentored field learning, and a capstone project aligned with JPI’s RTD department. Successful participants will build the habits, technical familiarity, and documentation discipline needed to contribute to live project operations from day one after military separation.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES\nPhase 1: Foundational Orientation, Safety, and OSC Exposure\nComplete onboarding and safety readiness activities, including OSHA 30, CPR (as required), and JPI mandatory safety training.\nShadow Operations Support Center (OSC) personnel across designated verticals and complete assigned support tasks that connect to active construction projects.\nLearn how centralized support teams contribute to field execution, documentation, communication flow, and issue resolution.\nParticipate in supervised field orientation activities on an OSC-supported project site (e.g., safety walks, SWPPP observations, EAP awareness, checklist execution, documentation assignments).\nObserve and assist with site opening/closing procedures, material receipt, and daily routine support under supervision.\nWalk with safety and third-party inspectors to understand compliance expectations and field quality oversight practices.\nPhase 2: Academy Training and Technical Development\nComplete the Academy curriculum covering JPI culture and mindset, construction technology, construction knowledge, construction operations, and trade operations.\nParticipate in simulated jobsite scenarios, team-based problem-solving exercises, instructor-led training, and structured site visits.\nComplete training in construction technology platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, OpenSpace, and DroneDeploy.\nSuccessfully complete course assessments measured by accuracy and time-to-complete while meeting participation and professionalism expectations.\nReceive and respond to instructor/mentor feedback related to performance, mindset, and growth.\nPhase 3: Field Production and Project Oversight Training\nReport to the assigned Construction Manager and participate in daily site operations on an active multifamily project.\nSupport day-to-day GC oversight activities by completing assigned observations, updating status information, and assisting with documentation tied to quality, safety, schedule, and field execution.\nDevelop working knowledge of multifamily stage-and-sequence responsibilities (horizontal, vertical/rough, exterior/site, finishes, and turnover).\nUse JPI construction technology tools in live field conditions to document progress, support accountability, and reinforce project visibility.\nParticipate in trade coordination support, field communication routines, and supervised issue escalation as directed.\nDemonstrate growth in field presence, planning awareness, documentation quality, and execution discipline while working with project teams.\nPhase 4: Capstone, Training Development, and Career Readiness\nLead (under supervision) a defined small-scale project component or scope to demonstrate integrated understanding of safety, planning, execution, and documentation.\nDevelop a capstone SOP and training plan for a stage-and-sequence topic in alignment with RTD.\nCreate a one-hour training module to support future JPI employee development in a defined construction topic or phase.\nParticipate in career readiness activities (resume refinement, personal brand preparation, interview coaching, and mock interviews).\nPresent completed capstone work and demonstrate readiness for transition into civilian construction employment.\nNON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES\nSupport special projects assigned by RTD, Construction Operations, or the jobsite leadership team.\nTravel within the metro area or to project sites (as needed) to support training rotations and field learning objectives.\nEDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nActive-duty service member approved for participation in the Department of Defense SkillBridge program and within the approved transition window.\n\nAbility to participate in a full-time, 180-day training assignment.\n\nInterest in construction management, field operations, project coordination, trade operations, or construction technology.\n\nAbility to learn and apply construction safety expectations;
