Your role involves close collaboration with both the Tax Client Service team and the Global Tax Operations team. You will serve as the primary contact for tax inquiries, ensuring proactive resolution within established standards. You will provide guidance on various tax documentation and regulatory reporting, while working closely with the Sub Custodian network and the internal Network Management Group. Continual review of operational tax processes to identify enhancement areas, identifying and escalating tax risks, and assisting in client tax account reviews and ad-hoc projects across the wider Tax Operations team will also be part of your role.\nJob responsibilities\nServe as the point of contact for tax enquiries to support our client’s tax servicing needs.\nTake proactive responsibility for the resolution of client enquiries within the published standards.\nManage client relationships proactively.\nExecute forward thinking to maintain response quality and completeness to prevent case reopening.\nContribute to the tax component of service reviews and other meetings with the client.\nAnalyse root causes of recurring issues through regular review of metrics, and assist in developing programmes for service enhancements arising from these figures.\nProvide support and guidance on outstanding/expiring tax documentation, documentation, relief at source, retrospective reclaims, capital gains tax, financial transaction tax, and tax regulatory reporting.\nEnsure close collaboration with the Sub Custodian network and the internal Network Management Group.\nContinually review operational tax processes to identify areas for enhancement.\nIdentify and escalate tax risks and participate in resolution.\nAssist in client tax account reviews and ad-hoc projects across the wider Tax Operations team.\nRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills\nMust demonstrate in-depth operational tax experience within financial services, specifically in global custody or investment banking.\nAble to provide examples of successful internal and external communication and problem-solving experience.\nCapable of giving examples of risk awareness and operational control experience within financial services.\nPrepared to discuss process improvement experience, clearly articulating ideas, concepts, and procedural changes to clients.\nAble to provide examples of problem-solving skills and experiences.\nDemonstrate strong client focus.\nProven experience in an arena where accuracy is critical within strict deadlines.\nPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills\nAssociation of Taxation Technicians qualified.\nInvestment Operations Certificate or other industry related benchmark qualifications areas for enhancement.\nIdentify and escalate tax risks and participate in resolution.\nAssist in client tax account reviews and ad-hoc projects across the wider Tax Operations team.\nDeveloping experience using AI-powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational
