The external reporting function handles the oversight of the financial statements and management reporting, ensuring a sound control environment; understands and applies the accounting treatments and ensures compliance with appropriate corporate and regulatory requirements; coordinates the preparation of quarterly regulatory requirements; validates balance sheet items and understands balance sheet usage and reporting.\nAs an External Reporting Controller, Associate, you will be a part of the team that is responsible for the end-to-end production of Treasury International Capital (TIC) Country Exposure Reporting for JPMorgan Chase & Co. which is filed monthly, quarterly and annually with the Federal Reserve Bank. This role is classified as Schedule Owner, although it contains elements of both Schedule Preparation in terms of review/oversight and Report Owner responsibilities including instructional interpretation/policy interaction/report filing. You will be responsible for continuing to enhance the controls and efficiency of financial reporting processes which may include the identification and resolution of issues/errors, tracking and resolution of data quality issues and implementing process improvements to reduce cycle time.\nJob Responsibilities:\nIdentify and execution process reengineering opportunities using tools like Alteryx\n\nCoordinate multiple aspects of the production and review of monthly, quarterly and annual reports filed with the FRB.\n\nEffectively manage multiple priorities and deliverables under tight timelines.\n\nIdentify gaps in current reporting processes and lead the implementation of new controls and strategic solutions to ensure the integrity of reported financial results.\n\nMaintain familiarity with accounting pronouncements and disclosure requirements. Participate in firm wide project groups to implement changes in reporting requirements.\n\nEstablish and manage relationships, partnerships and dialogue with a variety of stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization.\n\nWork extended hours during peak periods including some weekends.\n\nRequired Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:\n3+ years total relevant work experience (accounting or banking industry)\n\nDemonstrable understanding of financial statements and disclosures required\n\nBachelor’s Degree required\n\nExcellent communication abilities, both written and oral\n\nComfortable working with large quantities of data, including strong reconciliation and process management experience\n\nStrong technical skills in Excel\n\nStrong analytical skills in interpretation of data and identification of anomalies\n\nIndependent worker who is self-motivated as well as comfortable working independently in a dynamic and challenging environment\n\nDetail oriented, strong organizational and time management skills\n\nResults-oriented / delivery focused;
