You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and innovative solutions that support regulatory obligations across multiple jurisdictions. You will help modernize our reporting ecosystem, improve operational efficiency, and drive the responsible adoption of AI and emerging technologies. Your contributions will directly impact the accuracy, scalability, and control of our regulatory reporting processes.\nJob Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.\nBuild and maintain scalable APIs, microservices, and cloud-native services on AWS to support regulatory reporting workflows.\nDevelop modern user experiences, dashboards, and exception management capabilities using React and TypeScript.\nContribute to the software delivery lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.\nLeverage enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate software delivery, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.\nContribute to the development of intelligent automation capabilities that improve operational efficiency and control effectiveness.\nEvaluate and adopt emerging AI and agentic technologies to support the evolution of the regulatory reporting platform.\nDesign, implement, and optimize controls that enhance data quality, reporting accuracy, and regulatory compliance.\nBuild resilient, observable, and secure systems that operate reliably within a highly regulated environment.\nRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:\nFormal training or certification in software engineering concepts and applied development experience.\nExperience developing enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.\nExperience building modern web applications using React, TypeScript, or similar frontend frameworks.\nKnowledge of software design, application architecture, and distributed systems.\nExperience building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with relational databases.\nExperience building and deploying cloud-native applications, preferably on AWS.\nUnderstanding of CI/CD, automated testing, and agile development methodologies.\nExperience using engineering productivity and AI-assisted development tools within the software development lifecycle.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.\nPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:\nExperience within financial services, capital markets, regulatory reporting, or other highly regulated environments.\nKnowledge of regulatory reporting domains such as MiFID, EMIR, SFTR, ASIC, MAS, or related frameworks.\nExperience building large-scale data processing and data-intensive applications.\nExperience with event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, and streaming technologies.\nExperience with observability, monitoring, and production support practices.\nExperience using AI-assisted software engineering tools to improve development productivity and software quality.\nFamiliarity with artificial intelligence, large language models, intelligent automation, or agentic workflow concepts.\nExperience applying automation and AI technologies to operational processes, investigation workflows, or decision-support capabilities.\nInterest in shaping the future application of AI across enterprise-scale regulatory reporting and controls platforms.\nAbout the Team\nAsset Management Global Regulatory Reporting Technology is responsible for Mercury, the strategic regulatory reporting platform supporting the firm’s obligations across multiple jurisdictions and asset classes.
