In this role, you will help shape technical direction, modernize our capabilities, and raise the bar for engineering excellence across a growing organization.\nJob responsibilities\nDrives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support), while establishing consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of effective patterns across the team.\nApplies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.\nLeads technical design and delivery of complex full-stack capabilities (Java/Spring Boot + React/Angular).\nDrives event-driven patterns using Kafka (idempotency, retries, ordering, error handling).\nEstablishes strong engineering practices (test strategy, automation, CI/CD quality gates, observability).\nOwns production excellence: incident reduction, RCA prevention, performance tuning, and operational readiness.\nMentors engineers and influence technical direction across squads and partner teams. \nRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills\nFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience\n\nDemonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.\n\nStrong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption within delivery practice.\n\nDeep expertise in Java 8+ / Spring Boot, microservices, and React/Angular.\n\nStrong Kafka/event-driven architecture experience (retries, idempotency, DLQ patterns, schema/versioning).\n\nExperience with SQL databases with data modelling, query optimization, and performance tuning.\n\nStrong NoSQL experience: Cassandra / DynamoDB / Elastic Search (data modeling, reliability, scale).\n\nStrong experience with Cloud Foundry/AWS and CI/CD strategy and execution.\n\nDemonstrated leadership in design reviews, mentoring, and cross-team technical alignment.\n\nAbility to work with tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana for observability and monitoring\n\nExperience building applications with resilient, highly available architectures, including consideration for failure modes, recovery, and operational readiness, and working knowledge of
