As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.\nJob responsibilities\nOwn the delivery of value-add activities as part of a scrum team and be an active member governing the overall platform.\nAct as a Lead developer who will help set direction and best practice around automated testing, platform framework, SDLC as well as acting a point of contact for more junior developers to give them guidance on best practices.\nDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others\nDrives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support), while establishing consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of effective patterns across the team.\nApplies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.\nIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems\nLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture\n\nRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related disciplines and 5+ years applied experience\nCommercial experience working with React and Java\nExperience in designing scalable micro-services using RESTful\nKnowledge of the web technologies (Javascript/Typescript/NodeJS ecosystem and bundling tooling)\nKnowledge of server side technologies (Spring/Spring boot, messaging frameworks such as Kafka, maven, junit mocking frameworks)\nExperience in developing, debugging and automated testing (e.g. react testing library / cypress) within a commercial setting\nExpertise in Databases, relational, and MongoDB and JVM performance analysis including profiling, heap dump analysis, thread dump analysis, and GC tuning within a commercial setting\nSolid understanding of CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins), Application Resiliency, and Security\nDemonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.\nPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills\nFamiliarity with modern front-end technologies Such as ag-grid, state management such as redux\n\nExposure to cloud technologies\n\nWorking within Investment Bank / Finance
