review and debug code written by others.\n\nDrive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support), while establishing consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of effective patterns across the team.\n\nApply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.\n\nIdentify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.\n\nLead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.\nRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills\n\nFormal training or certification in software engineering concepts with advanced applied experience.\nDemonstrate hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.\nAdvance your skills in one or more programming languages, including Java, Spring Boot, AWS, ReactJS, Docker, Splunk, Junit, and IT Test.\nLead effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, test acceleration, and troubleshooting, setting team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.\nApply a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security standards; coach engineers on safe, compliant adoption.\nBe proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).\nPossess advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.\nBring in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.\nDemonstrate practical cloud-native experience.\nBuild and maintain robust automated testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing (e.g., JUnit for Java stacks), ensuring test automation is embedded into CI/CD pipelines.\nOperate and enhance production services using observability tooling (e.g., Splunk) for monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, and problem management;
