You’ll contribute to an inclusive culture grounded in respect, ownership, and continuous improvement.\nJob responsibilities\nShare expertise and operational experience in designing and managing CDN applications leveraging Cloudflare and/or Akamai.\nDevelop IaC/GitOps-based automation.\nApply responsible AI-assisted development workflows to accelerate delivery while maintaining strong engineering discipline\nAutomate network services infrastructure and network provisioning workflows, including API integrations and (where needed) React-based user interface components\nLead system design efforts and produce clear architecture and design artifacts to support high-quality technical decisions\nReview code, coach engineers, and raise standards across testing, continuous integration/continuous delivery, security, and reliability\nBuild and maintain high-quality delivery pipelines with automated tests, meaningful coverage, and pragmatic quality gates\nPartner with internal teams and evaluate external vendors when it accelerates outcomes and aligns to the target architecture\nContribute to an inclusive team culture that values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement\nDrives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support), while establishing consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of effective patterns across the team.\nApplies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.\nRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills\nFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience\n3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with ownership of CDN production systems & frameworks\nStrong system design skills across distributed services, data stores (relational and NoSQL), and messaging systems (for example, RabbitMQ)\nPractical experience running services in the cloud, including Amazon Web Services patterns and services\nSolid understanding of secure software development lifecycle practices, continuous integration/continuous delivery, and operational excellence (monitoring, alerting, incident response, resiliency)\nDemonstrated ability to lead through influence via code reviews, technical decision-making, and mentoring within a team\nDemonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.\nStrong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations;
