You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.\nJob responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-scale web applications and backend services supporting Payments Technology capabilities.\nDeliver modern frontend solutions using React, micro frontend architecture, reusable components, and responsive user interface patterns.\nBuild and maintain scalable Java / Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, GraphQL, and distributed application components.\nDrives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support), while establishing consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of effective patterns across the team.\nApplies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.\nProduce secure, high-quality production code that meets functional, non-functional, resiliency, performance, and maintainability requirements.\nContribute to architecture and design artifacts for complex application features, integrations, and platform capabilities.\nApply engineering best practices across software design, coding standards, test automation, CI/CD, observability, and secure development.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across frontend, backend, integration, cloud, and production environments.\nRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills\nFormal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied software engineering experience.\nHands-on experience delivering enterprise-scale, production-grade applications in complex technology environments.\nStrong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, GraphQL, microservices, and distributed systems.\nStrong frontend engineering experience with React, JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend tooling such as Vite, Webpack, or equivalent.\nDemonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.\nStrong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations;
