As a Managing Director, Head of Private Client Segment Marketing in Chase Consumer Bank, you set the end-to-end segment marketing strategy for Chase Private Client and JPMorgan Private Client, including positioning, product marketing, content and social strategy, field enablement, onboarding and lifecycle engagement, and experiential marketing. You partner across lines of business and functions to align priorities, coordinate execution, and improve acquisition, activation, and deepening outcomes. You establish measurement approaches and operating rhythms that help teams learn, iterate, and deliver consistent experiences.
Job responsibilities
- Set and evolve the segment marketing strategy, positioning, value proposition, and messaging architecture for the Private Client membership tiers
- Translate client, competitive, and performance insights into clear strategic choices and a durable brand narrative
- Lead product marketing for membership benefits, features, and experiences, including launch planning and integrated go-to-market execution
- Partner with performance and channel marketing teams to align targeting and acquisition approaches to segment objectives
- Shape the in-branch experience across JPMorgan Financial Centers and affluent Chase branches, including merchandising standards, messaging, and premium materials
- Coordinate cross-functional reviews with legal, compliance, risk, operations, and procurement to support feasible, consistent, and compliant execution
- Set the content and social strategy, including editorial direction, voice and tone, content pillars, and integration with broader media plans
- Design onboarding and ongoing lifecycle engagement strategies across digital and human touchpoints to support activation, retention, and deepening
- Build field marketing and enablement programs (playbooks, toolkits, talking points, local activation support) for bankers and client-facing teams
- Own the experiential and event marketing strategy, including signature moments and integration with invitations, segmentation, follow-up, and measurement
- Define success metrics and reporting with data & analytics, and manage budget planning and ROI discipline across initiatives
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 10 years of experience in marketing, including segment marketing, brand strategy, or product marketing in a consumer financial services or similarly regulated environment
- 5 years of experience leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed organization
- Experience building integrated go-to-market plans across channels (digital, branch/field, content, and paid/owned/earned touchpoints)
- Experience developing positioning, messaging, and brand narratives grounded in customer insights and competitive context
- Experience designing or managing lifecycle marketing (onboarding, engagement, retention) with measurable outcomes
- Ability to define success metrics, interpret performance data, and apply test-and-learn practices to improve marketing outcomes
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience marketing to affluent or wealth segments, including premium service models and relationship-led engagement
- Experience with in-branch merchandising and experience design, including standards and operationalization across locations
- Experience designing experiential or event programs tied to segmentation, follow-up journeys, and measurement
- Practical fluency with AI-enabled productivity tools to accelerate research, writing, analysis, and stakeholder communications
- Judgment in applying AI-knowing when to use AI vs. manual analysis, and validating outputs for accuracy, completeness, tone, and audience fit
- Experience building content “systems” (editorial frameworks, reusable assets, governance) that support acquisition and lifecycle engagement
- Experience partnering closely with legal, compliance, and risk teams to support review-ready marketing deliverables
