The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and a desire to solve complex problems across a broad set of technologies.\nJob responsibilities\nCreates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design frameworks\n\nDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others\nCollaborate with a skilled engineering team to develop automation and self-service tools for Cassandra across private and public clouds\nFocus on delivering a consumer-driven, world-class Cassandra platform for JPMorganChase's critical systems, enhancing customer experience\nArchitects and governs agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows (using enterprise-authorized tools within the work environment) to improve delivery speed, code quality, and operational outcomes at scale (e.g., AI-driven PR review assistance, test generation/maintenance, release readiness checks, incident triage and root-cause acceleration), while defining guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, and reuse across teams\nApplies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation at scale. \nAdvises cross-functional teams on technological matters within domain of expertise\nContributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies\nCreates durable, reusable software frameworks that are leveraged across teams and functions\nInfluences leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams\nRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills\nFormal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience\nUnderstanding of cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages\nSoftware development experience in Java programming language\nExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently\nAdvanced experience working with two or more of the following: web application development, database, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, information retrieval, networking, large-scale software development, security software development\nDemonstrated experience designing and leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices (using enterprise-authorized tools within the work environment) across teams, including setting standards for human-in-the-loop validation, auditability/traceability of changes, and secure handling of sensitive data\nStrong understanding of responsible AI use and control expectations in engineering workflows, including security/resiliency implications, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance; ability to influence senior technical leaders on safe scaling patterns and reuse.
