Senior Lead Software Engineer - API Marketplace

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Consumer and Community Banking ’s (CCB) API Marketplace, you will play a key role in an agile team dedicated to building, enhancing, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products. You will leverage your deep technical expertise and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges across multiple technologies and applications, driving significant business impact through your contributions.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide regular technical guidance and direction to business partners, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.

• Mentor and coach junior developers, actively participating in code reviews to promote growth and knowledge sharing.
• Rapidly iterate on design and implementation, even in the face of ambiguous requirements.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React.
• Advanced skills in one or more programming languages, including Java 8+ for distributed application development, REST, microservices, and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications (e.g., AWS, GCP, private cloud).
• Experience with modern SDLC practices such as Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment.
• Experience with design systems and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
• Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Zustand, Redux, Context API).
• Knowledge with build automation tools such as Maven.
• Knowledge configuring Continuous Integration pipelines in Jenkins.
• Knowledge with frameworks like React Query.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and tools.
