As a Project Manager- Home Lending Regulatory in the Program Management Office (PMO), you will play a pivotal role in delivering projects that are essential to our business and industry and you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, guiding initiatives from initial planning through to successful completion. This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your strategic thinking, attention to detail, and ability to navigate ambiguity will be highly valued and you’ll facilitate impactful working sessions, prepare executive materials, and ensure all project documentation meets audit and compliance standards. You will also coordinate resources across multiple projects and may involve managing staff as the team evolves.
Job responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex regulatory and investor-driven projects in Home Lending.
- Develop project roadmaps and detailed task plans to ensure timely delivery with compliance deadlines.
- Facilitate cross-functional sessions to review new regulations, identify impacts, and define business requirements.
- Assign and track project tasks, drive accountability, and escalate risks or issues as needed.
- Prepare and present clear, concise updates and materials for executive audiences and governance meetings.
- Ensure strict adherence to the PMO’s project management framework, maintaining comprehensive, audit-ready documentation.
- Thrive in a culture of transparency, continuous feedback, and process improvement.
- Delegate tasks efficiently, clarify roles and responsibilities, and seek support when needed to meet project goals.
- Represent the PMO’s brand through polished communication, leadership, and consistent professionalism.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s-level education or equivalent work experience.
- Seasoned experience leading complex projects or programs, ideally in home lending, mortgage servicing, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and experience working within a structured, controlled framework.
- Proven ability to deliver results under tight deadlines and shifting priorities, and comfortable navigating ambiguity, adapting to change, and maintaining focus on outcomes.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience preparing and delivering presentations to senior leaders and skilled at facilitating large meetings, building consensus, and translating complex requirements into actionable plans.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), with the ability to create executive-level materials and manage complex project documentation.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a disciplined approach to planning and documentation, and able to hold others accountable, resolve conflicts, and escalate issues when necessary.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Seasoned project or program management experience in home lending, mortgage servicing, or financial services.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or Scrum Master.
- Demonstrated experience working with geographically distributed and culturally diverse teams.
- Familiar with regulatory audits and compliance documentation.
- Experienced with process improvement, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Prior leadership experience with potential for future people management.
