You apply deep technical expertise and leadership to solve complex engineering problems, accelerate cloud adoption, and raise the quality bar through strong design and engineering practices.\nJob responsibilities\nDesign and implement cloud-native software solutions using modern technology stacks to deliver highly available, performant, and resilient products\nDevelop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others to improve reliability and maintainability\nDrive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and operational processes across the engineering lifecycle\nServe as a subject matter expert in one or more focus areas (for example: public cloud engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure as code)\nMentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen team capabilities and delivery consistency\nInfluence peers and project stakeholders to adopt leading engineering practices and technologies that improve measurable outcomes\nDrive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (for example: AI-assisted code review and refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident root-cause analysis), while establishing measurable validation standards and promoting reuse\nApply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation at scale\nRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills\nFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience and 2+ years of experience leading engineers to plan, deliver, and resolve complex technical items within your domain of expertise\nHands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and production operations for distributed services\nAdvanced proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, or TypeScript\nExperience migrating complex applications to the public cloud (IaC developer, SRE and Acceleration roles)\nExperience delivering in an Agile environment using practices such as continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/DC), and Scrum\nStrong understanding of software design principles and patterns, with experience implementing modular monolith and microservices architectures\nDemonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (for example: coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security\nStrong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations;
