UX Designer- Vice President- JPM Personal Investing

Job Summary:

As a Lead UX Designer in the J.P. Morgan Personal Investing team, you will play a pivotal role in designing intuitive, engaging web and mobile experiences for our clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners-including researchers, content writers, product managers, marketers, commercial teams, and engineers-to create customer-led products and services. You will help shape the design process from discovery to delivery, ensuring our solutions are useful, straightforward, and empowering. Your work will directly impact the client experience and contribute to a high-performing, supportive team culture.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead key design initiatives end-to-end across mobile and web platforms
• Own design direction from problem framing through detailed execution
• Produce and guide high-quality design outputs, including user journeys, information architecture, flows, prototypes, UI design, and delivery-ready specifications
• Drive a strong discovery-to-delivery loop, partnering with Research and Product teams to test and iterate based on insights
• Ensure experience quality across all touchpoints, focusing on accessibility, usability, and consistency
• Partner strategically with Product and Engineering leadership to align goals, scope, milestones, and success criteria
• Articulate design recommendations and rationale in senior forums, grounded in customer needs and business drivers
• Identify and resolve risks to design quality or delivery early
• Champion effective use of the design system and collaborate to improve patterns and components
• Uphold high standards in design documentation and hand-off quality
• Manage and develop a direct report through coaching, feedback, and career development planning, as well as contribute to a healthy, high-performing team culture in partnership with leadership and peers

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Hands-on experience as a Product/UX Designer delivering customer-facing products across mobile and web
• Ability to lead complex initiatives end-to-end with a strong portfolio of outcomes
• Proven stakeholder management and communication skills, influencing cross-functional partners and presenting confidently to senior audiences
• Strong systems thinking, designing for scale, consistency, and maintainability
• Experience applying research and usability testing, comfortable with test-and-iterate methods
• Expert proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping workflows
• Experience managing at least one team member or demonstrated coaching/mentoring capability

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Experience in Financial Services or Banking, or strong curiosity and willingness to immerse in domain constraints
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence, and working in environments with strong documentation and governance expectations
• Experience in service design and client journey mapping
