As our Accounting Manager, you will own the monthly close and consolidation, lead a talented accounting team, and put clear financial insight in front of executive leadership and our Board. This is a high-visibility seat for a CPA who wants real ownership and a team ready to grow with them.\nWhat You Will Own\nThis is a leadership role with true accountability for the integrity of our financial results.\nThe Close: Lead a timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including consolidation with our international entities.\nFinancial & Covenant Reporting: Deliver US GAAP financial statements, debt covenant compliance, and executive and Board reporting that leaders trust.\nTechnical Accounting: Be the go-to expert on revenue recognition, inventory valuation, leases, income taxes, and debt, and own the documentation behind every judgment.\nAn AI-Enabled Team: Build and coach a team that uses AI and automation to work faster, smarter, and with stronger controls.\nYour First Year: What Success Looks Like\nYou own a predictable close calendar with clear ownership, tighter review, and measurable gains in close speed and accuracy.\nExecutive and Board reporting packages land on time, with results and key drivers explained clearly to senior stakeholders.\nAudit, tax, and covenant compliance cycles run smoothly, supported by well-documented technical accounting positions.\nYou have launched AI and systems-driven improvements that remove manual work and strengthen internal controls, and your team is actively adopting them.\nHow You'll Spend Your Time\nRun the Close\nLead the monthly close process, including consolidation and coordination with international entities.\nOwn the accounting areas with the highest complexity and estimation judgment.\nReview team deliverables, account reconciliations, and analytical reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.\nReport & Advise\nPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and related covenant compliance.\nPrepare reporting and analysis for executive leadership and the Board of Directors, and communicate results and key drivers to senior stakeholders.\nResearch, apply, and document technical accounting matters, and coordinate with external audit, tax, and specialist providers.\nLead & Improve\nLeverage AI and financial accounting systems to drive process improvements, efficiency, stronger controls, and higher reporting quality.\nSupervise and develop team members through effective review and coaching.\nLead and support special projects across financial accounting and international operations.\nWhat You Will Bring: Expertise. Knowledge. Drive.\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; MBA or MAcc a plus.\nCertification: Active CPA designation required.\nExperience: 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including product-industry experience (manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or retail). Public accounting experience is a plus.\nLeadership: A track record of leading, developing, and mentoring an accounting team and driving accountability and growth.\nClose Ownership: Proven ownership of month-end and year-end close timelines, accuracy, and continuous improvement.\nTechnical Depth: Strong command of revenue recognition, inventory valuation, income taxes, debt, and lease accounting, plus experience preparing or supporting US GAAP financial statements and disclosures.\nIndustry Acumen: A solid understanding of manufacturing and distribution cost structures, inventory, and operational accounting.\nControls: A strong grasp of internal controls and compliance, with experience supporting audits.\nAI & Tools: Hands-on use of AI tools to automate processes and support analysis, and a passion for driving AI adoption across a team. Advanced Excel required. SAP and Claude (or an equivalent AI tool) strongly recommended; Workday Adaptive, Prophix, Workiva, Power BI, Alteryx, and Avalara highly preferred.\nCommunication: The ability to partner cross-functionally and present financial information clearly to leadership.\nWork Location: Based in our La Vergne, TN office.
