Operators at all levels play a vital role in meeting production targets, ensuring product quality and upholding workplace safety.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nOperator 1 - Production\nUse hand, power and production tools to assemble machine units, sub-assemblies, and parts to meet product tolerances and specifications\nInstall moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings\nUse measuring instruments to verify alignments and tolerances of moving parts\nInstall wiring and electrical components to specifications\nRemove small quantities of metal using hand files or portable grinders\nPain and install pre-manufactured parts into sub- or final machine assemblies as required\nBend and install pipe for hydraulic systems\nOperate forklift to transport raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the production facility. \nRead and understand work orders, work instructions, or process documents to accurately and efficiently produce products to specifications\nOperate equipment and follow chemical treatment procedures to apply black oxide coating to metal parts, adhering to standard operating procedures and quality control standards.\nMaintain production documentation\nPerform routine quality checks to ensure products meet specifications\nOperator 2 - Production\nSatisfactorily performs all responsibilities of an Operator 1 - Production, including:\nPerform basic to intermediate welding operations as required to assemble, repair, or modify components during the production process, following blueprints, work instructions and safety guidelines.\nAssist in the fabrication and fitting of complex machine subassemblies, ensuring high standards of alignment, tolerance, and functionality\nAssemble, install and align mechanical components such as gearboxes, shafts, levers, and bearings\nRoute and install hydraulic tubing and hoses with precision, following schematics and bend specifications\nPerform basic wiring tasks such as routing and terminating wires for motors, sensors, control panels, and electrical components with accuracy and adherence to diagrams and safety standards\nMaintain accurate build records and production documentation, including checklists, quality control forms and rework\nOperator 3 - Production\nSatisfactorily performs all responsibilities of an Operator 2 - Production, including:\nMonitor production workflow, identifying and escalating issues related to materials, equipment or workforce production\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, suggesting process improvements, and assisting with implementation.\nLead complex machine builds and custom assembly projects that require advanced troubleshooting, fabrication, or integration of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.\nQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE\nDemonstrate adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning in response to evolving business needs.\nDemonstrates a continuous improvement mindset, consistently seeking ways to enhance quality, efficiency, and processes.\nSupportive of team environment and collectively working together towards goals\nEffectively and efficiently communicate with others\nOperator 1 - Production\nHigh school diploma or equivalency required\n0-2 years in manufacturing or mechanical assembly\nAbility to use basic hand, power and measuring tools\nAbility to follow work instructions and record basic production data\nAbility to operate a forklift and basic shop equipment\nOperator 2 - Production\nTechnical or trade school training preferred\n2-4 years in manufacturing or mechanical assembly\nProficient in MIG/TIG welding\nStrong aptitude for mechanical assembly\nInterpret and follow complex work orders\nAbility to complete basic electrical wiring\nOperator 3 - Production\nPost-secondary technical training or certifications preferred\n4+ years in manufacturing or mechanical assembly with demonstrated technical proficiency\nAdvanced mechanical/electrical/hydraulic integration\nLead complex builds\nDirect workflow and task prioritization\nAble to troubleshoot prototype or custom assemblies\nMentor less experienced team members\nREASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS STATEMENT \nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
