We are actively recruiting a Project Officer, Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) for SECOND SHIFT (2:30PM-8:00PM). In this mission critical position you will be supporting the COLUMBIA Class submarine program, you’ll collaborate directly with Navy leadership, Electric Boat, NAVSEA, and top-tier industry partners to ensure the successful installation, integration, and testing of the nation’s most advanced Strategic Weapon System. This role offers the chance to lead complex technical efforts, influence high-impact decisions, and drive continuous improvement across one of the Navy’s most critical acquisition programs-all while working alongside experts who share your commitment to engineering excellence and national security.\nWhat You'll Do\nManage and lead the SWS teams in the conduct of the shipyard installation and test of the SWS\nLead complex problem-solving efforts to ensure PAESSP requirements are met and the SWS is properly installed and tested during SSBN construction\nProvide detailed knowledge of the SWS, test and evaluation, systems engineering, and continuous process improvement\nProvide technical expertise and guidance in design reviews, trade studies, and other technical meetings\nAct as a technical liaison between PAESSP, Electric Boat, contractors, and field activities to accomplish installation and test activities\nPlan, attend and participate in planning, status meetings, conferences, and communicate key events and milestones as needed\nLead shipyard installation testing efforts and manage the SWS test program execution\nFormat specifications, directives, and correspondence in accordance with Navy manual\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor’s degree in a related ABET-accredited field or equivalent experience\n12+ years of Strategic Weapon System (SWS) experience, including strong production, construction, testing, and alteration expertise\nPrior Navy SSBN experience\nActive (or recently active within 2 years) DoD SECRET clearance or higher\nFamiliarity with technical, logistical, and programmatic issues related to SWS and Submarine Construction\nAbility to develop, manage, and execute schedules\nStrong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with ability to negotiate across multiple industry partners\nDemonstrated initiative to identify issues and implement creative solutions\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively
