Summary : \n\nWe are seeking an experienced Progress OpenEdge Developer to support and enhance a highly customized, enterprise-scale ERP platform that powers critical business operations.\n\nThis role is ideal for a developer with deep expertise in Progress OpenEdge (Progress 4GL/ABL) who enjoys working in a collaborative environment supporting complex business applications and integrations.\n\nThe successful candidate will develop, maintain, and enhance custom ERP functionality while partnering with infrastructure, application, and business teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.\n\nBecause the ERP system is internally developed and highly specialized, this position requires strong technical expertise in the Progress OpenEdge ecosystem and the ability to quickly understand complex business processes.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n\n- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Progress OpenEdge (Progress 4GL/ABL).\n\n- Enhance and support a custom-built enterprise ERP platform.\n\n- Develop and maintain integrations between the ERP system and third-party applications.\n\n- Write efficient, maintainable code while following development standards and best practices.\n\n- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely application support.\n\n- Optimize application performance and database interactions.\n\n- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.\n\n- Participate in system enhancements, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.\n\n- Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.\n\n- Document technical designs, processes, and application changes.\n\nRequired Qualifications : \n\n- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing with Progress OpenEdge (Progress 4GL/ABL).\n\n- Strong experience with Progress OpenEdge Database architecture and development.\n\n- Experience supporting or developing enterprise ERP systems.\n\n- Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.\n\n- Experience developing integrations with external or third-party applications.\n\n- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.\n\n- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.\n\n- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.\n\nPreferred Qualifications : \n\n- Experience working with highly customized, internally developed ERP systems.\n\n- Experience modernizing legacy applications.\n\n- Familiarity with REST APIs, web services, or middleware integrations.\n\n- Experience working in Agile development environments.\n\n- Understanding of enterprise business processes including inventory, purchasing, finance, or supply chain operations.\n\n- Experience supporting mission-critical production applications.\n\nTechnical Skills : \n\nRequired : \n\n- Progress OpenEdge, Progress 4GL / ABL, OpenEdge Database, SQL, ERP Development, Application
